I invite you to step into the Keresley Newland story, and enter a world of magic and wonder, where our values of Language, Learning and Lives are at the heart of our small family school. We believe in our children and community and our school is right at the centre of village life. 

Our children have the very best start in Pride Rock - our purpose-built Nursery, where we focus on communication and language, enriching our children's lives with words as well as the whole range of learning. We have a lovely outdoor area for our youngest children, as well as beautiful school grounds for all.

Our classrooms are amazing storytelling settings and our children journey seamlessly through Fairytale, Adventure and Fantasy teams. Children thrive at Keresley Newland, learning thorough rich and exciting experiences both in school and as part of our extensive enrichment opportunities. Exceptional opportunities include within the Performing Arts and STEM. We have a specialist MUSIC teacher who makes sure our children have a wide range of outstanding local and national performance opportunities. Keresley Newland is a recognised Artsmark Silver School. As a Futures Trust school, we enjoy high quality, unique experiences such as STEM learning within our purpose-built STEM ROOM and the annual ROBOT WARS.  We also have a brand new THRIVE resource and a specialist team of staff who support our children's emotional needs.

I believe that the most important gift we can give our children is the gift of reading and a joy of words, expanding their world in the wonder of adventure and imagination found in books.  We make sure all of our children read fluently as soon as possible. Our phonics results are significantly above the national average, with 94% of children achieving the required standard in 2024. We have also achieved the National Reading Award. 

We have high aspirations for our children and make sure that children make the very best progress, whilst at Keresley Newland. We believe all children can achieve and that all children have gifts to share. We have high academic standards. A highlight from 2024 is the Multiplication Check Result for Year 4. Our children achieved a massive 54% above the 2023 national standard, with 84% of children scoring FULL MARKS on the national test. 

I delight in leading such an exceptional team of staff, who have the well-being of children and families at the centre of their thinking. We are an 'OFSTED' rated 'GOOD' school, May 2023, and this reflects the fantastic all-round education that is offered here at Keresley Newland.
