Ethos and Values
Keresley Newland Primary Academy is an inclusive school committed to the safeguarding of all our pupils. It has a rich culture and a strong identity as a community school where each child is encouraged to be the very best that they can be. We aim to provide a friendly, happy environment in which our children feel safe and valued. We encourage our pupils to recognise their abilities and we expect them to work hard and achieve well. Our priority is to deliver high quality teaching and learning whilst at the same time providing a rich and enjoyable learning experience for our learners. Everything we do as a school is to ensure that the children achieve their very best.
We aim for our learners to develop:
· Lively, enquiring minds
· Self-confidence and self-respect
· Respect for others and a tolerance of differences
· Resilience to apply themselves to all types of tasks and situations
· Aspirations for their future
We believe that all pupils, regardless of their starting points, can achieve if they are taught well and are supported effectively. Our belief is underpinned by three clear values:
Learners First- teachers and leaders totally focused upon the educational benefit of our pupils
It’s About Learning – pupils, teachers and leaders focused upon developing and improving their learning and development
No Barriers – no excuses, only support to ensure pupils, teachers and leaders maximise their achievements.
We want every child to feel accepted and valued for who they are, with the confidence to take risks, explore new learning and be successful to achieve their goals.
